A Visit to Dakshinachitra
It was a short drive from our college to Dakshinchitra, where we went for our Industrial Visit. It was a Friday, and thus began our first visit outside of College. We started by 9:10 am and reached there by 9:40 am. After collecting our tickets, we went inside.
My initial thought on the place was that it was very big and had many things to explore. Our group of ten first went to the Amphitheatre, which was the very first thing to notice in there. There, we took photos of ourselves and even helped other groups from our class in taking photos.
After that, we went to houses which were built in a traditional architectural style. Each house represented one of the four southern states. Each house told a unique story about how people once lived and worked. There were also ancient objects inside these homes. There were traditional cooking utensils in the home, too.
Then we noticed a park, and most of the groups from our class went there to enjoy themselves and played to their heart's content.
This visit was not only enjoyable but also educational for me. It gave me an opportunity to explore the southern Indian heritage. At the end, we went to a spot to eat lunch outside and concluded our trip. By the end of the day, all of us carried not only photos but also memories that everyone will cherish for a long time.
